Thousands of Farrand precision axes have been installed since we introduced our first digital readout system in
1965. The reason is simple: Retrofitted to a machine tool, these readouts save time,
increase productivity and reduce required skill. They speed set-up and operation,
and their convenience, accuracy and simplicity all but eliminate machining errors.
The operator can set zero anywhere on the workpiece so that the display reads directly
when the table or tool is moved. The number displayed is exactly what appears on the
print with no need for interpolation or other calculation.
